Canvas is the design workspace for layouts made from editable text, images, shapes and pages. Use it when you need to move a headline, change a price, arrange a presentation or animate the pieces of a social design.
Choose a useful starting format
Open Canvas. Start with a template, a blank format, an imported image or a design brief. Pick the intended shape early: a square post, vertical story, presentation or custom size.
An imported image is still a single image until you explicitly use a supported editing or decomposition tool. Text visible inside a photograph does not automatically become a text layer.
Build the layout with layers
Add or select an object on the page to see its controls. Use the Layers list to select objects that overlap or are hard to click. Change text content and typography, position images, and adjust the selected object's appearance.
Use the position controls to move an object forward or backward in the stack. A background image can cover other objects if its layer is above them. Lock completed objects when you want to avoid moving them accidentally.
Bring in your own media and brand
Add workspace images or upload references, then crop or resize them to fit the page. Use the Brand tools to find your saved colors and fonts. Keep important text readable over busy photographs by giving it clear space or a suitable shape behind it.
For a new photograph or scene, create it in Images first and bring the result into the layout. Keep headlines and calls to action as Canvas text when they need future edits.
Animate the parts that matter
Select a layer and open its animation controls. Choose an entrance, exit or loop where available, preview the movement, then adjust timing and intensity. Use the timeline for the order and duration of pages, layers and audio.
Start with a small amount of motion. Check that the message remains readable and that an exit animation does not remove an important layer before the viewer has time to understand it.
Preview and download
- Check every page, including text near the edges.
- Preview animations and listen to any audio.
- Open Download, choose the pages and an available format.
- Inspect the exported file before sharing it.
Still designs can be exported using the available image or PDF choices. Video export depends on browser support; when MP4 recording is unavailable the editor can offer WebM instead. Keep the saved design so you can return to its editable layers later.
