Video models accept different kinds of direction. Some start with text, others animate a first frame, connect two frames, follow reference media or transform a source clip. Choose the operation first, then check the selected model's visible input cards.
Choose the operation
Open Video. Create is for a new clip. Edit uses models that transform or extend an existing video. Motion control uses a subject image and a motion clip when supported by the model.
These operations are different. A reference image supplies appearance; a motion clip supplies movement; a source video is the material to edit. Adding the wrong kind of input cannot unlock a capability the model does not support.
Set the opening and ending
For a supported image-to-video route, add a Start frame to define the opening shot. If the model exposes End frame, add an image to guide the final shot. A start-and-end route may require both images.
Describe how the camera or subject should move between them. Use frames with a compatible subject and composition when you want a continuous shot. Very different starting and ending scenes can make the requested transition harder to interpret.
Use references or motion input
Some model families offer separate Frames and References choices. In References mode, attach the subject, style or scene images the model accepts. Actor references, reference video and reference audio only apply when their controls are supported.
In Motion control, Your subject is the image to animate and Motion clip is the movement to follow. Read each card's requirements. Switching modes can preserve uploads for later, but preserved media is not necessarily used by the active mode.
Check the settings beside the prompt
- Select the model that supports your intended inputs.
- Fill every required media card.
- Set an available duration, aspect ratio and resolution.
- Review native-audio and other options when shown.
- Read validation messages and the current credit estimate before generating.
Focusing the prompt reveals the configuration controls. Use the available settings as the source of truth; do not assume that every model can generate the same length, resolution or audio.
Plan several shots separately
A longer advert may need multiple generated clips. Use Studios to keep scene briefs, references and outputs connected, then assemble and review the final edit. A set of successful scene generations is not automatically a finished film.
Review completed clips for motion, continuity and sound. Your gallery lets you revisit results and reuse a prompt or a supported frame input.
